Akron Ohio - It didn't come as a surprise to most of us who followed LeBron James through his high school years here in Akron when LeBron was named to the 2005 All-Star team as a starter Thursday night (2/4/05) at the tender age of 20 years and 1 month. A lot of us knew he was good enough to receive the invite even last year. I think the biggest surprise for many is to learn that Kobe Bryant was 8 months younger when he earned his first start!

Cleveland Cavaliers fans and the rest of the NBA alike will be present or tuned in on February 20th to watch the amazing things that James and the rest of the 2005 NBA All-Star Game players can do when the game tips off in Denver. In addition to our hometown favorite, LeBron 23, the East team starters are Vince Carter, Grant Hill, Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson. The West starters are Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Yao Ming, Bryant and Tracy McGrady.
